navigating disagreemets and stress by moving beyond the blame game.
The art of
Do you desire to be in a loving and harmonious relationship?
ONE THAT YOU HAVE ALWAYS DREAMT OF?
It's not impossible! Great relationships do exist.
The #1 misconception that people have is that a relationship cannot be defined as good if there is conflict.
Let me tell you right now, that's "fairyland" thinking.
All healthy relationships have disagreements. The difference is that both parties know how to navigate the conflict and stress that arises and turn it into learning moments for the relationship.
And so, this course is designed to help you as such.
Communicating with your partner with with more ease
Knowing exactly what you want and don't want and feeling confident enough to state it
Being able to quickly identify the patterns that you repeat and feeling empowered to change them
Fewer arguments. More enlightened discussions.
Moving forward with someone as a "whole" instead of wondering if this person is for you.
How does it feel? It feels great right?
MOST OF US HOWEVER DON'T KNOW HOW TO MANAGE CONFLICT IN RELATIONSHIPS.
Why should we? We were never trained to do so.
What we do instead, is focus on the other person and things outside our control.
*We try to get the other person to treat us better
*We demand that the person changes
*We withdraw our self and give the silent treatment
*We retaliate with anger
* We manipulate feelings and words to get what we want.
And what happens is that it leaves both parties feeling drained and frustrated, with no real clarity on a way forward.
WE THEREFORE NEED TO EMPOWER OURSELF TO NOT FEEL LIKE A VICTIM
and get instead to the root of what's happening.
Not holding others accountable for OUR suffering no matter how manipulative they are
Understanding OUR role in conflicts.
Moving beyond a blame mindset is the key to understand why you feel a certain way towards people who don't treat you the way you expect.
I'm a psychologist based in the Netherlands, a self-empowerment trainer and a best-selling co-author.
I designed this program based on the principles of Couples & Family Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour principles.
In my personal consult, I realised that 80% of clients request to work on relationship type problems. The common thread in my clients was that they were constantly blaming their partner for struggles in the relationship instead of taking the time to analyse why they themselves had a reaction, where the reaction was coming from, or how to navigate the complex dynamics of an argument.
I'm a firm believer in working on yourself.
Maybe you think your partner needs to be on this course as well for effective change. However, it is my belief that change often begins with one person who can cause a ripple effect. The only person you will ever be emotionally responsible for in your life is YOU.
If you don't know your shortcomings, and where they came from, then you are preparing yourself for much heartache and confusion in relationships, and I mean ALL relationsships; whether it's with family, friends, co-workers, your boss etc.
So let's work together. I look forward to seeing you on the program.
